"We are the Borg. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Resistance is futile"
Regeneration

The remnants of an alien ship and two frozen cybernetic bodies are uncovered
in the arctic by a research team. These aliens soon thaw out and flee Earth,
taking the research team with them. Starfleet orders Enterprise to find
them, but the crew aren't prepared for just how dangerous these aliens really
      are.
Q Who?
Q hurls the Enterprise into the Delta Quadrant and introduces the Federation
to a powerful new enemy that may destroy the Alpha Quadrant: the Borg.
The Best Of Both
      Worlds Parts 1 & 2
A Starfleet expert on the Borg, Lt. Cmdr. Shelby, is assigned to the Enterprise
to investigate the disappearance of a Federation colony. Riker must pull
out all the stops in order to save Earth from a Borg invasion being lead
by none other than Locutus - otherwise known as Captain Jean-Luc Picard.

I, Borg
An injured Borg is discovered and brought back to the Enterprise where he
is 'repaired' by Dr. Crusher and befriended by Geordi, who names him "Hugh."
Soon, Hugh starts showing signs of individuality while Picard must choose
between destroying him or returning him to the collective.
Descent Part
      1 & 2
The Borg return to threaten the Federation. However, they are now exhibiting
all indications that they function as individuals and not as a collective
mind. Also, Data experiences a disturbing facet of human emotions, including
anger at being attacked by a Borg drone and feeling pleasure after killing
it. Data abducts Picard, Troi and Geordi and holds them prisoners of the
Borg, while he derives pleasure from being evil. Dr. Crusher is left in
command of the Enterprise as it comes under attack from a Borg vessel.
Scorpion Part
      1 & 2
Voyager finally enters Borg space, only to discover a threat more powerful
than the Borg themselves. The crew of Voyager come up with a solution to
the Borg's problem, and are willing to share it with them if they grant
safe passage to the ship and its crew. In order to help with the negotiations,
the Borg send over a drone designated Seven of Nine as a representative
      of the collective.
Drone
A transporter accident merges some of Seven Of Nine's Borg nanoprobes with
      the Doctor's 29th Century holo-emitter to create a 29th Century super-Borg.
Dark Frontier After defeating a Borg ship, Captain Janeway decides to launch
an attack to steal a trans-warp coil to shorten Voyager's journey home.
The Borg detect her plan, and access Seven Of Nine's neural transceiver
to deliver an ultimatum: re-join the collective or the ship and its crew
will be assimilated. If she agrees, the ship will be guaranteed safe passage
      through Borg space.
Unimatrix Zero
      Part 1 & 2
Seven of Nine is led to a place known as Unimatrix Zero; a place where Borg
drones are individuals for a short period of time during their regeneration.
However, once their regeneration is complete, all recollection of the event
is erased. Captain Janeway uses this to form a plan of attack that would
create a mutiny from within the Collective.
Endgame
After a decades-long journey to reach the Alpha Quadrant, Admiral Kathryn
Janeway makes a bold decision to change the past in an attempt to undo the
toll taken on the crew during their arduous journey home.

When it comes to naming the best villain in Star Trek history, most Trekkers would name the most relentless and emotionless bad guys of all time, the Borg.
As a science fiction creation, the Borg is an absolute classic. They are a cybernetic race that assimilates both technology and living organisms to make them part of a collective consciousness with one goal, the pursuit of perfection. Relentless and emotionless, they destroy who worlds and make their inhabitants part of the collective.
Hailing from the Delta Quadrant, they were introduced to the human race by the omnipotent Q in the 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' season 2 episode 'Q Who?' and from then on they were obsessed in adding their uniqueness to the collective. This came to ahead when a single Borg ship, their distinctive cube shaped vessels, entered the Alpha Quadrant on a direct path to Earth in 'The Best of Both Worlds'. In a two parter that became the defining episodes of 'The Next Generation' and a science fiction classic, we saw our hero Captain Jean Luc Picard captured and transformed into a Borg and it would take the would of the Federation's fleet to stop them.
We met the Borg again in 'I, Borg' and 'Descent' during the rest of 'The Next Generation' run as they introduced a fraction of the collective that wanted to break away become individuals again. Then they disappeared from the small screen and onto the big screen in 'First Contact'. It wasn't until the starship Voyager was thrown into the Delta Quadrant.
While it would take three seasons before we would see the collective take on Captain Janeway and her crew but the episodes that featured them in 'Star Trek Voyager' would define the Borg more than ever before. The series also introduced the first Borg as a main cast member in Seven of Nine, played by the talented and beautiful Jeri Ryan.
From their reintroduction in 'Scorpion', the Borg took their next evolutionary set towards perfection. 'Dark Frontier' saw the return of their leader, the strangely sexy Borg Queen and we got to find out their true motives and see their home world for the first time. We also discovered the problems within the collective in 'Unimatrix Zero' and how it all came to a head in 'Endgame'.
The Borg is one of the greats amongst science fiction villains. They defined two Star Trek series but had repercussions for the entire franchise, even making an appearance in the prequel series 'Enterprise'. Each episode grew the characters and made them a classic.

talking about the reaction towards bringing the Borg into Enterprise.

episodes 'Best of Both Worlds Part 1 & 2' and 'Unimatrix Zero Part 2'
OVERALL
Putting the Borg episodes together in a DVD set is a good idea but you really need to back up them with some great bonus features. Those included are lifted directly from the season box sets but it is the inclusion of absolutely nothing new to the package is almost criminal. Paramount have called it a fan collection but when you think about it, all Trekkers will have these episodes in their collections anyway.
