After discovering a 1936 Ford truck from Earth floating in space Voyager

PROJECTIONS
When the Doctor is activated during a Red Alert, he learns that the ship
has been abandoned, and that only B'Elanna Torres and an injured Captain
Janeway are left on board. Soon afterwards, Lt. Barclay appears and tells
him that his entire time on Voyager is an elaborate simulation, and he's
really a holo-engineer by the name of Zimmerman on Jupiter station in the
Alpha Quadrant, who has been trapped on a holodeck for six hours. If he
does not destroy Voyager's warp core and end the program soon he will die.

ELOGIUM
When the crew of Voyager investigate a cluster of space-borne life forms,

      idea who Harry is.
TWISTED
A spatial distortion ring begins to reconfigure the internal layout of Voyager.
With the crew unable to get to vital systems, and the captain injured after
coming into contact with the anomaly, the ship is slowly twisted as the
ring implodes and endangers the crew.
PARTURITION
When Neelix and Paris find themselves trapped on a planet dubbed 'Planet
Hell', they become the unwilling parents of an infant alien that is near
death. In the meantime, a ship appears and begins attacking Voyager.
PERSISTENCE OF
      VISION
Captain Janeway starts seeing characters and objects from her holo-novel

to a point where she can no longer control them, and nearly kills Tuvok
      in the process.
MANEUVERES

abducted and forced to design a new prototype or Voyager will be destroyed.

ALLIANCES
In order to stop attacks from the Kazon, Captain Janeway finds herself being
forced to make an alliance with the more powerful Kazon sects. When negotiations
fail, their only chance is to ally themselves with the race that used the
Kazons as slaves in the past called the Trabe.

      aboard Voyager.
LIFESIGNS

doctor transfers her consciousness into the ship's computer and creates
a holographic body. He soon finds himself becoming deeply attracted to her.

      they are about to die.
THE THAW
The crew of Voyager encounters a planet that has recently entered an ice

are mentally connected to an artificial environment that turned horribly
      wrong.

When Captain Janeway and Chakotay contract an incurable virus they are left
on a planet that shield them from its effects. While Janeway searches for
a cure, she begins to form a deeper relationship with her first officer.

Voyager is taken over by the Kazon-Nistrum, and the crew are dumped on a
planet in its early stages of evolution.

![]()
The fourth live action Star Trek TV series blasts into its second season and produces some of its most memoriable episodes.
While some may argue that the series didn't really get into its stride until the introduction of the Borg, season two is filled with character defining single episodes that explore the crew members better than at any other time.
Harry Kim is considered one of the most uninteresting characters to ever inhabit the Star Trek universe but in Non Sequitur Garret Wang actually receives an excellent Sci-Fi script to produce the best episode for his character. Kes actually starts to become interesting and moves on to a new level in Cold Fires. Already an interesting character but the Doctor begins to grow in Lifesigns and finds love for the first time. B'Elanna starts to show her qualities in engineering and Tuvok wrestles with emotion in Meld
. As well as the character-based episodes you have shows that also advance the series. The multi-episode Seska-Chakotay story was a first for the Star Trek franchise and pushed the to new heights. The re-introduction of Q was seen by many as a way of boosting ratings but his many appearances became a story arc of its own. Yes there are some stinkers in there like Threshold, Twisted and Persistence of Vision but throw in episodes like Tuvix, Deadlock and The 37s and you have the makings of one of Voyager's best seasons.
Star Trek Voyager's second season really starts the ball rolling as the crew come to terms with their predictament. From now one the series comes into its own by realising its unique identity, giving it the ability to tell some classic science fiction stories.

PICTURE & SOUND
Presented in full frame 4:3 with a Dolby Digital 5.1 sound track, the transfer is very good. OVERALL
Paramount has produced another exceptionally packaged Star Trek Voyager season on DVD for every Trekker to enjoy. The quality of the special features is first rate and very informative. An episode commentary track here and there wouldn't have gone a miss and it is still a tad expensive (shop around) but this aside, this is still an exceptional season box set that sets a very high standard.
